I’m someone who finds joy in the  simple things—especially in life and gardening. Whether I’m tending to  plants or connecting with others, I believe in growing beauty and  kindness wherever I can. I’m someone who finds joy in the  simple things—especially in life and gardening. Whether I’m tending to  plants or connecting with others, I believe in growing beauty and  kindness wherever I can. I love giving back to my community and staying  actively involved in making a positive difference, one small act at a  time.

I started this nonprofit because I saw a  real need in our community—a need to bring awareness to the devastating  impact of child abuse. No child should ever have to carry the burden of  abuse on their shoulders. Every child deserves to feel safe, protected,  and heard. By raising awareness and providing education, we can shine a  light on this issue, support survivors, and work together to stop the  cycle of abuse once and for all. This mission is about protecting our  most vulnerable and empowering our community to stand up, speak out, and  make lasting change.

I currently work as a Loss Prevention Manager, which I have been doing for the last 14 years. Prior to that I was in the education field for 9 years (working as an elementary teacher, curriculum director, and K-8 principal), which is the field all my degrees are in. I joined Dala’s Blue Angels in 2013, when I had a store manager I worked with invite me to some planning meetings—and I’ve been here ever since! While Dala’s Blue Angels may be a relatively small group compared to others, I feel we are among some of the most passionate and dedicated individuals I have had the honor of working alongside. I have volunteered on and off through most of my adult life, and volunteering and giving back to my community is important to me.

In the last 15 years I have volunteered with Paws for Love Therapy Dogs and Linn County Fire Corps; and I still volunteer with the South Willamette Valley Honor Flight, and Dala’s Blue Angels.

I am currently retired, but I began my working at the age of 13 babysitting and picking raspberries during the summer. My first "real" job was at 16 years old at the local cannery during summer break, then full time for 10 years in the Quality Control Department. I received an associate degree in Accounting as well as an Oregon tax preparers license and worked as a bookkeeper/tax preparer for 8 years. I then got hired on at HP, Corvallis and worked there for 25 years in various roles, before retiring in 2019. I have volunteered most of my adult life: Lacomb PTA, Lebanon Fire District Auxiliary, Red Cross Disaster Relief in Linn County, Make-a-wish Oregon, and for the last 9 years as a part of Dala's Blue Angels.

I worked for over 20 years at HP mostly as a technician.  I've been a part of the group for about 4 years.  I mostly joined because I  was supporting them at bell ringing events wearing a tutu; and Ronda asked me to join.  I've had people in my life that were abused and that's not right.  The group has wonderful people in it, so I always want to help when I can.
