I volunteer because I have a special place in my heart for children. Children are innocent, and deserve nothing less than to be whole-heartedly loved, cared for, supported and protected by the adults in their lives. When they can’t protect themselves, they need people in their lives and community to step and do for them what they can’t do for themselves.

I joined DBA because I wanted to make a difference in children's lives. I wasn't personally abused, but my grandchildren were and I was frustrated at the lack of action from agencies created to help them.
I volunteer for DBA because it is a cause worth supporting, and simply the right thing to do.
I volunteer because I see all the good that we do for our community, and it gives me a sense of pride and belonging to know that we are helping to keep our kids safe.
I volunteer because I had a business in Lebanon. I am no longer there but I love to stay connected to the community. We have an amazing group of dedicated people.
I volunteer because I love the mission that this organization has and the amazing people I have met throughout the time that I have volunteered.

I volunteer to be able to give back. I enjoy being a part of such an amazing group that puts so much heart into their volunteering; it is a labor of love to bring awareness and a voice to children.
I volunteer because our mission really means a lot to me and there are lots of amazing people involved!
My wife Shelby and I are brand new to this group, but honestly it was Dala Johnson and her passion that made us want to join . We are excited to help when and where we can.
Being a survivor whose voice was never really heard, for me being an advocate who stands up and speaks out for other kids who may also feel forgotten is so meaningful. I get to heal, help, and contribute to my community and that’s very important. Being a Blue Angel allows for healing and community.
